Siargao Photography Workshop — Island & Surf
About this tour
Siargao is a photographer's dream of palm-fringed sandbars, glassy lagoons, and the most famous wave in the Philippines, and this two-day workshop is designed to help you capture all of it. Working with a guide who knows the island intimately, you will shoot the classic trio of island-hopping stops, Naked Island's pure white sandbar with not a tree in sight, palm-shaded Daku Island, and the tiny postcard islet of Guyam, learning composition, light, and timing as you go. Out on the water you will frame turquoise shallows, leaning palms, and outrigger bancas against impossibly blue skies.
The workshop also takes you to the island's surf and inland icons: the legendary Cloud 9 boardwalk and reef break, where you can photograph surfers carving its powerful, hollow waves, and the emerald Sugba Lagoon ringed by mangroves and limestone, ideal for reflections and drone-style overhead compositions. Whether you shoot on a phone, a DSLR, or a drone, you will leave with sharper skills and a memory card full of the images that have made Siargao Instagram-famous, plus plenty of time to simply enjoy the laid-back island vibe.

About the area
Siargao is a teardrop-shaped island in Surigao del Norte, widely regarded as the surfing capital of the Philippines. Its hub, General Luna, is a relaxed cluster of beach resorts, cafes, and surf schools just minutes from the legendary Cloud 9 break. Beyond the surf, the island is wrapped in coconut palms and fringed by sandbars, lagoons, mangroves, and rock pools, making it one of the most photogenic destinations in the country.
