About this tour

This full-day island-hopping tour covers the headline sights of Coron in Palawan, where dramatic limestone cliffs meet some of the clearest water in the country. Aboard a bangka outrigger you cruise out to Coron Island, a sacred ancestral domain of the indigenous Tagbanua people, ringed by jagged karst formations.

The highlight is Kayangan Lake, often called the cleanest lake in the Philippines. A short hike up rewards you with the postcard viewpoint over the cove before you descend a wooden stairway into the brackish, crystal-clear water below. At the Twin Lagoon you pass from the outer lagoon into a hidden inner one, either swimming under a low rock wall or crossing a small ladder depending on the tide.

The day usually also includes the small mangrove-fringed CYC Beach, a snorkel over the shallow Skeleton Wreck, and coral gardens teeming with reef fish. A buffet lunch is served on a beach between stops. It is the perfect one-day introduction to Coron's surreal lagoons and lakes.
