Baguio to Sagada Road Trip Package
About this tour
This three-day road trip threads together the greatest hits of the northern Cordillera, climbing from the cool pine city of Baguio along the spectacular Halsema Highway to the cliff burials of Sagada and the ancient rice terraces around Banaue. The Halsema, once notorious as one of the world's scariest roads and now almost fully paved, is among the highest highways in the country, winding for hours past vegetable terraces, cloud forests, and dizzying mountain panoramas that make the journey as memorable as the destinations.
In Sagada you will meet a local guide to walk Echo Valley and view the famous hanging coffins, then explore the cavernous chambers of Sumaguing and Lumiang caves, where coffins up to 500 years old still lie stacked in the dark. The route then drops toward Bontoc, with its tribal museum, and on to the Banaue viewpoint where the 2,000-year-old rice terraces, often called the Eighth Wonder of the World, stair-step up the mountainsides. Throughout, you travel in comfort with transfers handled, free to soak up one of the most scenic and culturally rich corners of the Philippines.

About the area
The Cordillera Central is the rugged mountain spine of northern Luzon, home to the Igorot peoples and some of the country's most dramatic scenery. Baguio, the cool Summer Capital, is the gateway; the Halsema Highway climbs from there to Sagada and Bontoc in Mountain Province, then on to Banaue in Ifugao with its UNESCO-listed rice terraces. The region is renowned for its indigenous culture, mountain trekking, caves, and centuries-old terraced landscapes.
