Pangasinan is a coastal province south of Ilocos famous for two things: the Hundred Islands National Park at Alaminos (123 islets) and Bolinao's pristine west coast beaches and bioluminescent lagoon. Bangus (milkfish) is the provincial speciality. An easily drivable day trip from Manila (4 to 5 hrs) or a scheduled overnight in Bolinao.
