About this tour
Sohoton Cove in Bucas Grande Island is Siargao's most magical day trip — a series of hidden mangrove lagoons, jellyfish lakes and sea caves that feel like they belong in a fantasy novel. You reach Sohoton by speedboat from Siargao (1.5 hours), then board smaller bancas to weave through Cathedral Cave, where shafts of light cut through cathedral-like openings in the rock ceiling.
The star attraction is the Jellyfish Sanctuary — a brackish lagoon filled with thousands of non-stinging jellyfish. You swim freely among them, the jellyfish bumping gently against you like living bubbles. It's one of only a handful of places on earth you can safely swim with jellyfish.
