This full-day journey through Ilocos Norte traces the layered history of the Philippine north, blending Spanish-colonial Baroque architecture, presidential history, and a surreal desert landscape. The centrepiece is Paoay Church (Saint Augustine Church), a UNESCO World Heritage Site begun in the early 1700s and famous for the massive coral-stone buttresses that have braced it through centuries of earthquakes, making it one of Asia's finest examples of Earthquake Baroque.
