Guimaras Island Mango Tour — World's Sweetest Mangoes
About this tour
Guimaras is a small island accessible by 15-minute ferry from Iloilo City, famous worldwide for producing the sweetest mangoes on earth — consistently winning international competitions. The island is a mosaic of mango orchards, coral beaches, colonial ruins and one of Asia's oldest active Trappist monasteries.
The day tour by motorbike (or van): Raya Farm mango orchard tour and tasting (eat straight from the tree during March–May harvest), Trappist Monastery (established 1950 by Belgian monks — buy their honey, cashew jams and mango preserves), Navalas Church ruins (a 1580s Spanish church used as a fortress against pirates, roof open to the sky), and Guisi Lighthouse (an 1892 lighthouse on a dramatic cliff over the Iloilo Strait).
