El Nido Island Hopping Tour C — Helicopter Island & Star Beach
About this tour
Tour C ventures to the outer reaches of Bacuit Bay, visiting islands that feel genuinely remote and untouched. The centrepiece is Helicopter Island — when seen from above (or from a distance), the island's silhouette is strikingly similar to a helicopter in flight. Up close it's a paradise of white sand, dramatic rock formations, and crystal-clear shallows alive with reef fish. It's one of El Nido's best-kept secrets, far less visited than the lagoon routes.
The tour also explores Cadlao Lagoon, a sweeping bay sheltered by Cadlao Island — the largest island in Bacuit Bay — with calm, warm water perfect for kayaking and swimming. Star Beach lives up to its name: the sand here has a faint pinkish-gold tinge from crushed coral and tiny star-shaped sand dollars that wash ashore. It's an exceptional snorkelling site with healthy staghorn and brain coral just metres from the shoreline.
Tour C is the best option for travellers who have already done Tours A and B, or who want a longer boat journey and a more adventurous feel. Groups are small and the outer islands often feel like your own private slice of Palawan.

About the area
Cadlao Island, the largest in El Nido's Bacuit Bay, reaches 640 metres above sea level and is visible from almost anywhere in El Nido town. Its sheltered lagoon was formed by a collapsed cave system and remains one of the most biologically productive areas in the marine reserve.
