About this tour

Most visitors snorkel with Oslob's whale sharks at the surface, but certified divers can take the experience deeper on this short, focused dive trip. Descending beneath the gentle giants, you watch these enormous, polka-dotted filter feeders glide overhead in their natural element, free of the surface crowds and able to take in their sheer scale from below. Because Oslob's whale sharks are present year-round thanks to a managed feeding programme, sightings on the dive are highly reliable, making it one of the most dependable big-animal dives anywhere.

This roughly three-hour experience is designed around the calm morning window when conditions are best and the sharks most active, with boat transfer, guide, tanks, and weights included. Strict conservation rules are enforced throughout: maintain a respectful distance, never touch or chase the animals, and follow your divemaster's positioning at all times to protect both the whale sharks and yourself. It is a humbling, up-close encounter with the largest fish in the sea.
