Cebu Malapascua Scuba Advanced Course
About this tour
Malapascua, a tiny island off the northern tip of Cebu, is the only place on earth where divers can reliably see thresher sharks every single day. This three-day PADI Advanced Open Water course is the perfect way to build your skills while diving in one of the world's most famous shark destinations. You will complete five adventure dives, including the required Deep and Underwater Navigation dives, with the unforgettable highlight being early-morning descents to the cleaning stations where the elegant, long-tailed thresher sharks come up to be groomed.
The thresher dives begin at first light at the sunken island shoal, now at a more accessible 15 to 20 metres, where you settle on the edge of the cleaning station and watch these otherworldly sharks emerge from the blue. Across the three days you will also explore Malapascua's coral gardens, sandy slopes, and macro life, all under the guidance of instructors at one of the island's PADI dive centres. By the end you will be a certified Advanced Open Water diver with one of the most coveted dives in the world already in your logbook.
