Mactan Island Hopping: Nalusuan, Hilutungan & Pandanon (with BBQ Lunch)

This classic Mactan island-hopping trip strings together three very different islands in a single day aboard a traditional outrigger bangka. You meet your guide at Marigondon (or with optional hotel pickup), then cruise out across the turquoise Camotes Sea toward your first stop, the Hilutungan Marine Reserve, one of the richest snorkeling spots near Cebu City, with walls of soft coral and clouds of reef fish.

From Hilutungan the boat continues to Nalusuan Island, a sliver of white sand circled by a shallow reef, ideal for an easy swim and photos on the long wooden jetty. The final leg runs to Pandanon Island, a postcard sandbar where the crew fires up a Filipino barbecue lunch of grilled chicken, pork, fish, and fresh fruit.

It is an easygoing day suited to families and first-timers: snorkel gear is provided, the water is calm, and there is plenty of time to relax on the sand between stops. Bring reef-safe sunscreen, a dry bag, and cash for the small island environmental fees collected on arrival.
