Bukidnon Highlands — Del Monte Pineapple Farm

High in the cool plateau of Bukidnon lies the Del Monte Pineapple Plantation, the largest pineapple farm in the Philippines and one of the biggest in the world, sprawling across some 25,000 hectares of rolling highland. This full-day tour takes you into this iconic landscape at Camp Phillips in Manolo Fortich, where endless rows of pineapple stretch to the horizon beneath the mountain sky.

While the working plantation itself is not open for plantation tours, the scenic drive through Camp Phillips is an experience in itself, complete with the famous giant pineapple statue that makes the perfect photo stop. The highlight for many is the historic Del Monte Clubhouse, once an exclusive golfers' retreat and now open to all, renowned for its pineapple-fed beef steak, made extraordinarily tender by the pineapples in the cattle's diet.

Set against Bukidnon's crisp highland air and green vistas, the tour blends agriculture, history and food into a relaxed day out from Cagayan de Oro. The best time to visit is the dry season, from November to May, when clear skies reveal the full sweep of the pineapple fields.
