Boracay Scuba Diving — Puka Shell & Camia Wrecks
About this tour
Boracay is far more than its beaches; beneath the surface lies a surprisingly rich underwater world, and this full-day diving trip showcases two of its highlights. The reefs off Puka Shell Beach on the island's northern tip offer healthy hard and soft coral, dramatic drop-offs and walls draped in colour, home to clouds of reef fish, sea turtles, and macro life like nudibranchs and clownfish in their anemones.
The signature dive is the Camia wreck, a 30-metre cargo vessel deliberately sunk off Boracay as an artificial reef. Resting on the sand, the ship has become an oasis of life, encrusted in coral and patrolled by lionfish, batfish, scorpionfish and schooling baitfish, with swim-throughs for trained divers to explore. The intact structure and abundant marine growth make it one of the most rewarding wreck dives in the region for both newer and experienced divers.
The day usually includes two to three dives with experienced local divemasters, full equipment, boat transfers between sites and surface intervals to relax and refuel. Sites are chosen on the day to suit conditions and your certification level, and discover-scuba options may be available for non-certified guests who want a taste under instructor supervision.
