About this tour

Balicasag Island, a protected marine sanctuary just 30 minutes by boat from Panglao in Bohol, is the jewel of Visayan diving, and this extended scuba experience gives you the time to savour its best sites across multiple dives. Declared a sanctuary back in 1985, Balicasag is ringed by a shallow plateau that drops away into spectacular coral walls plunging to 40 metres and beyond.

The famous Black Forest dive site, named for its dense black coral, is a steep slope alive with groupers, barracuda, jacks and turtles, while Divers Heaven dazzles with swirling schools of jackfish and snapper. Balicasag is renowned for its large population of green and hawksbill turtles, often seen resting on the reef, and for the dramatic schools of fish that engulf divers along the wall.

With healthy corals, big-fish action and resident turtles all in one compact island, Balicasag offers some of the most rewarding wall diving in the country. Daily diver limits keep the reef pristine, so this is conservation-minded diving at its finest.

Daily caps on diver numbers help keep this small island reef remarkably healthy.
