About this tour

Most visitors to Baler spend their time on Sabang Beach, which means Dicasalarin Cove — just 12 km south — remains one of the quietest white-sand beaches on Luzon's Pacific coast. Access is through the gated Baler Lighthouse road: a scenic 4 km drive through secondary forest and scrubland that opens to a cliff-top viewpoint before winding down to a crescent of cream-coloured sand with no resorts, no vendors, and startling clarity of water.

The Aniao Islets — a cluster of wave-battered sea stack formations visible from the cove — provide a dramatic backdrop and a snorkelling spot where triggerfish, parrotfish, and the occasional green turtle shelter among the base corals. The islets are accessible by paddleboat at low tide.

Diguisit Falls is one of the Philippines' most unusual waterfalls: twin cascades that drop directly onto a boulder beach at the edge of the Pacific, so that at high tide the freshwater plunge pool merges with the ocean. The result is a brackish natural jacuzzi surrounded by basalt rocks, with the falls providing a freshwater shower and the sea surge keeping the temperature cool. The surrounding forest is dense and birdlife is abundant — the guide can identify Pacific swallows, Philippine kingfishers, and the endemic Luzon hornbill on the approach trail. Lunch is fresh grilled fish from the nearby Diguisit fishing village, eaten on the beach under coconut palms.

Frequently asked questions

How do we access Dicasalarin Cove?
The cove is reached via a paved road through the Baler Lighthouse complex. The lighthouse overlook offers stunning views before the descent to the beach.
Can we swim at Diguisit Falls?
Yes — the falls cascade into a natural tidal pool. Swimming is best at low tide when the pool is sheltered. Strong surf during high season may limit access.
