Anilao Diving Day Trip

Anilao in Batangas (2.5 hours from Manila) is one of the world's great macro diving destinations — an underwater paradise for photographers and divers who love the small and strange. The reefs around Anilao hold nudibranch species found nowhere else, pygmy seahorses, ghost pipefish, frogfish in absurd colors and patterns, and tiny creatures that most divers will never see elsewhere.

Two or three dives across different sites (Beatrice Rock, Cathedral, Kirby's Rock, Mainit). A 6–8 meter visibility limit is common but irrelevant — you are always looking at something in the centimeter range. Macro photography is what Anilao is famous for; bring a close-up lens.
