Marinduque

Marinduque is the heart-shaped island province in the Sibuyan Sea famous for the Moriones Festival (Holy Week) and the underwater archaeological site of the WWII Japanese freighter Montblanc off Tres Reyes Islands. The province is quieter than Bohol or Palawan with beaches at Bellarocca, Mompong and Poctoy White Beach.
Getting there
Ferry from Batangas Port or fly to Puerto Princesa then bus/van.
Best time to visit
November to May — dry season with calm seas for island hopping.
Things to do
El Nido island hopping, Coron wreck diving, Puerto Princesa Underground River, Port Barton beaches.
